Turn Spring Cleaning Into Mystery Junk Sculptures

pile of random toys

It’s about that time. Spring is closing in quickly, and some people (I don’t understand this at all) feel the need to spend time throwing out things that are broken, no longer used, too small, too big, too … much.

For kids, that means throwing out the headless (or bodiless) Barbies, random wheels from the bottom of the closet, or <gasp> books that are no longer books.

Instead of just trashing the trash, try collecting it in one big pile and challenging your child to make something out of it (typically a sculpture), but if you have some rando matchless socks in the pile, maybe some sock puppet monsters.
