Tonight, when you’re reading a book with your child, close it before the end. Your child will look at you either like you’re crazy or like you’re the cruelest person in the world.
Instead of turning out the lights, just say, “How would you finish the story?” (If you’ve already read this book, encourage them to come up with a different ending.)
This exercise will stretch your child’s brain and engage that creative part.
Let me know how it goes.
